The Yemen Nexus Initiative envisions a sustainable and resilient Yemen where humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding efforts are interconnected and mutually reinforcing. It aims to create a positive cycle of change through the systematic application of the triple nexus approach to improve living conditions, foster resilience, and support long-term peace and stability in Yemen.

 

The mission of the Yemen Nexus Initiative is to establish a cohesive platform that promotes the integration of humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding efforts in Yemen. The initiative seeks to:

 

1. Strengthening institutional capacities.
2. Promote evidence-based implementation.
3. Enhancing community participation and participation
4. Building the capacity of local stakeholders.
5. Strengthening advocacy and political influence.

Humanitarian Pillar

Focus: Provides immediate, life-saving assistance to people affected by conflicts, natural disasters, or other emergencies. With Core Principles: Humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence.

Development Pillar

Focus: Promotes long-term solutions to reduce poverty, build resilience, and achieve sustainable development: To Align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Peace Pillar

Focus: Addresses the root causes of conflict and builds peaceful, inclusive societies. To Prevent conflict, sustain peace, and promote reconciliation. .

Yemen Nexus Initiative

Who We Are

Yemen Nexus initiative is initiative established in Augst 2021, and we are representing fifty CSOs working all over Yemen. Yemen Nexus Initiative technical working are group of technical experts from INGO, NGO and interested donors.The initiative aims to set a positive cycle of generating nexus evidence in Yemen, improved framework conditions, and further nexus implementation on the ground from more nexus-based evidence.

What we do

The initiative start with the establishing a network for partners working in Yemen and will concern about Pillar 1: establishing research based knowledge through assessments to the interventions in Yemen (humanitarian and development), establishing a forum for different stakeholders, developing tools, frame works, polices and projects maps. 

Our Impact

The initiative will seek to contribute to the intended impact of the triple nexus and the adoption of climate change, where food security-health-WASH-climate change Nexus in Yemen will be enhanced through the achievement of two outcomes

Yemen nexus initiative

Nexus Approach is very important for Yemen in general,
especially for women and children, and in order to make a good impact for
donors’ money and real investment for every 
dollar, So Abs Development 
Organisation for woman and Child established the Yemen Nexus Approach in
Augus 2021 with 60 CSOs and with support of a German Organizations.

Application Open For the 10th cohort of the Yemen Nexus Training

In line with the training sessions held as part of the Yemen Nexus Initiative, in partnership with Abs Development Organization for Woman and Child and the Yemeni Women's Leadership Network, and Generation without Qat we are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the tenth cohort of training on the Nexus approach in Yemen. The training consists of two main phases: • Phase I: Intensive online training on the principles and methodologies of the Nexus approach (humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding). • Phase II: Practical, in-person training on writing project proposals using the Nexus methodology for participants who have successfully completed the training hours in Phase One. (Aden Office). Please note that this training is intended only for individuals who have not previously participated in any of the Yemen Triple Nexus Initiative training cohorts.
