Thank you for participating in Yemen Nexus Conference!

Dear Participant,

Firstly, on behalf of the Conference for Yemen Nexus Innitiative Leadership, I want to say a huge thank you for participating in the 2025 Nexus Conference.

In the month May, Amman Jordan. we've been overwhelmed and humbled by the outpouring of emotion, solidarity and commitments that have reached us via email, SMS and on social media. Earlier this year there was a cloud of uncertainty over the Conference, but all 200+ of you who registered to attend in-person or online gave us a resounding response: that coming together in troubled times is an act of resistance.

Organizing an event of this size and ambition is a massive undertaking even in normal years, and we could not have done it were it not for the commitment of our donors/partners, German embassy in Sana’a, WELT Hunger Hilfe, ADO, YWNLN and UNWomen. We also are incredibly grateful for the support of our sponsors, the dedication and passion of our speakers, workshop hosts and session chairs, and of course the ADO staff working behind the scenes.

We're thankful for the local leaders, some of whom crossed war zones to travel to Amman, and who shared so openly with us all their struggles and successes as they put everything on the line to get aid and support to their communities.

We hope the conference was personally and professionally enriching for you, and that you walked away with a sense of hope and energy to continue working against the status quo. We've heard that so many of you made new connections and friendships, and we hope that these new networks can contribute to knowledge-exchange in Yemen and global solidarity.

In this newsletter you can find links to session recordings, Conference photos, and a copy of documents. We also encourage you to complete the Nexus Conference evaluation survey, to help us shape the future of the Nexus events. And finally, please stay in touch, and take care.

In solidarity,
Nexus chairwoman

Yemen Nexus initiative is initiative established in Augst 2021, and we are representing fifty CSOs working all over Yemen. Yemen Nexus Initiative technical working is group of technical experts from INGO, NGO and interested donors.

The initiative aims to set a positive cycle of generating nexus evidence in Yemen, improved framework conditions, and further nexus implementation on the ground from more nexus-based evidence.

The initiative starts with the establishing a network for partners working in Yemen and will concern about Pillar 1: establishing research-based knowledge through assessments to the interventions in Yemen (humanitarian and development), establishing a forum for different stakeholders, developing tools, frame works, polices and projects maps.

The initiative will seek to contribute to the intended impact of the triple nexus and the adoption of climate change, where food security-health-WASH-climate change Nexus in Yemen will be enhanced through the achievement of two outcomes.

Thank you to our sponsors

The 2025 Nexus would not have been possible without the support of our generous sponsors: German embassy in Sana’a, WELT Hunger Hilfe, ADO, YWNLN and UNWomen.
