We are pleased to share with you the new guidelines issued by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) on resettlement, attached to this email.
These guidelines aim to strengthen cooperation and partnerships with local and national actors, including local authorities, civil society organizations, organizations led by displaced or stateless persons, and the private sector.
🌍 The guidelines represent an important step towards strengthening local and sustainable humanitarian action and include key principles, examples of promising practices, and practical steps to strengthen local leadership, participation in decision-making, and building more equitable partnerships.
UNHCR would like to thank all partners who contributed their views during the preparation of these guidelines and hopes that they will contribute to deepening dialogue and cooperation towards more local and impactful humanitarian action.
